Rapid Goby

Description

The fish is slightly flattened vertically. Its mouth is located below the snout and is horseshoe-shaped, with a pair of barbels shorter than the diameter of its eyes. The abdomen is covered with scales, and the cheeks of the head exhibit a blue sheen. The pectoral and pelvic fins have a slight reddish tint. This species inhabits areas with fast currents at the lower sections of riffles where sand and pebbles are mixed.
