Rain in the Drought

The workers at the Asparkan Work Camp all drink alcohol during their break time. To them, a sip of alcohol, in their exhausted and worn-out state, tastes like rain in a drought as something irreplaceable like the water of life. That's why there is always alcohol ready at the camp to soothe the workers.
