Zaid

Once a brilliant Valencian archaeologist, Zaid survived a tragedy in the Edania ruins that claimed all his companions. Crushed by guilt, he abandoned his return to the academy and remained in that barren land, becoming a Node Manager to keep others from meeting the same fate.

He harshly warns adventurers to turn back, but only because he cannot bear to lose anyone else. And to those worn down by the journey, he quietly offers a place to rest.
