Like many other Sezecs, stable keeper Markis knows all too well how it feels to live with a feeling of emptiness in one's heart due to the endless days he spent wandering from place to place when he was young. It was while in a tavern in Altinova that he was given secret information by a fellow Sezec concerning the Sherekhan Iron Mine and Barbarians' Tower, leading him to visit these lands on a spur of the moment. When he arrived though, he was so touched to find a place so welcoming from the off, that he decided to stay and pledge his services to Chief Alvaro NPC Knowledge.
