Park Pyeongho

The Park family of Second Deputy Minister Park Pyeongho was once a powerful force, comparable to the Seonwoo family of the Prime Minister and the Jang family of the First Deputy Minister. However, Park Pyeongho, who had merely served the Go royal family without any political intent, realized the dangerous extent of Prime Minister Jang Daeseung NPC Knowledge's power as the king's health deteriorated. In an attempt to curb this influence, Park Pyeongho married off his one and only daughter, Park Inseon NPC Knowledge, to the crown prince, thus becoming a royal in-law. Yet, this alone was not enough to counter the entrenched power of Jang Daeseung within the palace.
