The Red Orcs' Firebreathing Orc Cannon NPC Knowledge is an indication that they are not in fact unintelligent.

Their barricades also display how clever the Red Orcs are. They may look clumsy, but they are made of wood stronger than what was used to build their houses, and Red Orc NPC Knowledge Wizards drew insignias on them.
