Description

Kalis manages the parliament, legislates, and regulates taxes. Making profits through markets and collecting customs in order to manage the city indicates how independent they are as a political body.
However, the privileged merchants naturally legislated in favor of their class, and the representatives from traditional nobility tried to maintain the dwindling social status of the nobles. These days some nobles insist they be accompanied by guards, feeling threatened by the protests in the Slum.
