Alchemist of Calpheon Castle

There once was a covetous alchemy researcher in Calpheon who flouted the law and tried to make gold.

One day, a government official paid this alchemist a visit after someone reported him. The official told the alchemist he would overlook his transgression if only he gave him a bit of gold. Utterly flabbergasted, the alchemist replied indignantly, "How dare you—a government official!—suggest a bribe? Haven't you any respect for the law?"
