Grain Soup

Soup began as a food to bring relief to both the hungry and exhausted in times of war. Made by boiling a large amount of grains common to the particular region to maximize serving sizes rather than in pursuit of taste or nutritional value. The tastes depend on the grain used, and the recipe has been developed to use salt or wine to add some flavor.
