Objective [Q] How do I handle a matchlock?
Summary Hold the gun like this,
and look through the scope...
※ Equip a matchlock and reload with Alt Attack. Aim and fire with Attack.
※ While holding a matchlock, press Crouch/Skill to crouch.
While crouched, use Dash plus Forward/ Left/Back/Right key to roll.

Objective [Q] Any tips for hunting your target more easily?
Summary Don't just stand and shoot.
Try sitting for a steadier aim, then reload. It's much quicker.
If the prey gets too close, stay calm.
Roll to the side and take your shot.

Summary You can fire a matchlock from horseback
if you mount up with it ready.

Objective [Q] How do I use a sniper rifle?
Summary A sniper rifle lets you hunt
from much farther away.
※ Use the World Map (World Map) to locate Sniper Hunting Regions.
Defeat monsters there with a sniper rifle.
※ Alt Attack toggles Sniper Mode. Hold Attack to aim, then release Attack
when the aiming point centers in the blue zone to fire.
※ After firing, complete the reload minigame.
Press Jump with the right timing to reload faster.
※ Headshots with a sniper rifle
inflict far greater damage.

exactly where your shot lands and zoom in or out.

to begin the graduation quest.

and using it as a Tool Workshop.

from the Central Market.
Some folks even rent Practice Matchlocks,
so that's another option.

located at the Western Guard Camp (requires 2 Contribution Points).

there's something you should know.

When you successfully take down a beast,
go up to it and butcher it.

Objective What do you get from Butchering?
Summary Butchering hunted prey gives you
meat, blood, and hide.
You usually get more, and different types of materials,
than from ordinary Butchering.

If the prey is in good shape,
sometimes you might even get a taxidermy specimen.

Objective What's taxidermy?
Summary It means preserving the prey
in the same state it was in while alive.
Install taxidermy in your residence to receive special effects,
imbued with the beasts' spiritual energy.
Once you become skilled at Hunting,
you can upgrade taxidermy through Processing.
