Look inside the straw basket

It has some water damage, but you can make out some of the text:
The strange creatures did not attack me.
Instead, they kept making gestures at me, seemingly in an attempt to communicate with me.
I observed their lifestyle as I consumed the food they brought me.
They seemed have some kind of religion, and they appeared to be pacifists
who want to protect their territory in a non-violent way.
I decided to name these creatures after myself, Protty.
To accustom them to their new name, I have been shouting "Protty" whenever I want to catch one of their attention.
One day, a thunderous sound roared through the cave, and the cave was invaded.
The Protties started fighting their invaders, some kind of strange ancient weapons.
I decided to head towards Iliya Island, where the ancient weapons seemed to have come from,
to find a way to help the Protties live out their lives peacefully.)
