**Quest Group**: 845858
**Steps**: 4

## Summary

A convent of the Quturan religion in Orzeca Kingdom,
that worshipped the divine Thornwood tree.
The convent was established in Orzeca circa 301
by the immortal High Priestess Echidna.
The poor children abandoned by the God of Light were taken in by Echidna
and she looked after them in this convent.
Under Echidna's strict supervision,
the children toiled and prayed seven times a day.
In times of war, the children took on the shield and morning star that they've trained with
and marched to the frontlines to assist the kingdom.
Their only hope was to be recognized as a "good girl" by Echidna
who would, one day, allow the children to return to their parents in O'dyllita.
Echidna said that the roots of Quturan
were the only way to return to O'dyllita.
On the day of the brightest moon in the entire year,
Echidna would take the "good girls" into the roots of Quturan.
On the day of the darkest moon in the entire year,
Echidna came out with the children.
When they emerged, the children were weeping no more.

### Step 3

- **Objective**: Chapter 2: Children of Echidna

- **Summary**: The poor children abandoned by the God of Light are,
in truth, Homunculi, creations of High Priestess Echidna.
Kzarka's revival and Orzecan conquests were of
highest priority in Echidna's research.
After countless experiments, she was able to cultivate an artificial being
using the powers of Quturan, the holy tree of Orzeca.
Using her own seeds of life, she breathed vitality into
the corpses of the dead warriors that Quturan had consumed.
Children born through such experiments looked no different from the average human,
but each possessed a different appearance and ability.
Echidna built a convent to house and train the very children she created.
among the children were a few gifted ones who showed exceptional talent.
The selected few were taken back Quturan's roots,
and ashes made from the roots of Quturan would be injected into their noses.
This would effectively erase their memories and emotions
making them fully loyal and obedient to Echidna's commands.
They were reborn as warriors to serve the kingdom.
These warriors would wear the Thorns of Quturan on their arms
and slayed their enemies with the weapon that had manifested from the thorns.
The blood spilled from the battlefields that these warrior fought on,
later would became the soil in which Evil Lord Kzarka would rise from...
Children who did not show potential would be allowed to
live on a normal life as a subject of Orzeca upon maturity,
but they were forbidden from having children for life.
Echidna's Convent was buried underground with the Orzeca Kingdom
when Kzarka awoke to lay rampage to the lands.

### Step 4

- **Objective**: Chapter 3: Shield of Echidna

- **Summary**: Shield crafted by Echidna containing the power of the distorted goddess.
She meant for it to be wielded by the one homunculus that surpassed any other in potential.
However, the moment the homunculus comes in contact with this shield,
she is no longer dictated by the will of the creator
but acts under the will of the distorted goddess.
How much power she will be able to wield will depend on her strength.
According to Echidna, this shield does not pledge allegiance to one bearer.
She says that it constantly seeks out a bearer to make a pact with.
This dangerous disposition of the shield forced Echidna
to seal the shield and lock it away in the underground chambers.
