Upon approaching the grave,
I suddenly recall that day from long ago.
The deceptively calm backdrop of the desert.
The soft crooning of your lullaby, sung for the fallen kingdom of my childhood,
from those lips paled by worry in search of me, lost to you.
A tale of one Thornwood tree that took in pitiful children.
And your words that sealed that end.
There is no throne that goes unstained by blood.
What seemed like ages passed,
returning from a long voyage to the cold confines of my world...
I see my brother, Leonardo, barely able to support my weak legs,
and beside him, Guy, both fists clenched, lips cut and bloodied.
