As always, Calpheon is very busy.

Some told tales of war with a country to the east. Others mentioned expeditions launched against giant monsters to the west.

I'm filled with a rush of excitement whenever I come across the hustle and bustle of a city, but then I do have moments when I long for the calm of the countryside I call home.

After much searching I finally found her husband. He was dispatched with a guild sent off to deal with the monsters to the west.

He tearfully received the handkerchief and note from his wife, and a long talk between the two of us ensued. The only food he had was the combat rations he brought from Calpheon.

Night has come, and the both of us with our backs against the castle walls look up into the night sky. Both of us stare into the skies in silence each savoring past memories we had with our beloved.

He then makes me an offer. He asks if I'd be interested to join his guild to kill off those monsters and return home.

Despite the many dangers to be expected, the rewards were too good to pass on. I didn't have a choice. I decided to accept the offer.
