Chapter 3: Foolish Ondal NPC Knowledge
As time passed, a village called Hanji County emerged within Shimnidae Forest.
Hanji County was poor but was filled with musa in training. Every ten years, they participated in a Martial God Tournament, held in the capital. Some were so talented that they could even join the Seoryeon Corps, the best warriors on the continent.
Hanji County, the home of many strong and clear-headed warriors, was given the task of performing the ritual at Baekjuk Stele for the day the Tideturner Flute was created.
Dowan NPC Knowledge, the chief of Hanji County, had a son named Ondal. Many called him "foolish" for his selfless acts of kindness.
He would give feed to Morong's cow, deliver letters for Doodol NPC Knowledge, be an attentive ear for Old Lady Mayoung NPC Knowledge stories all day, act as a porter for Shinhee NPC Knowledge, and even shave a dokkebi's beard.
When the entire village was struggling to survive, Ondal would give away his share of food to those who were even hungrier. This is what lead people to call him a fool, as he would help others before himself.
At times, when people were worried about Ondal, he would just smile and reply,
"Well, I was born as the village leader's son, so people have taken care of me since I was young, so it's only right that I repay their kindness by doing the same for others."
