Objective
The Black Spirit NPC Knowledge explained that you must defeat Gehaku NPC Knowledge, the head of the giants. This will deal a blow to their morale that'll prevent them from launching an attack on Keplan. Defeat Gehaku.
Interact with the Dark Portal and defeat the summoned Gehaku NPC Knowledge;

Have you ever heard of Chief Gehaku NPC Knowledge? He's the leader of the giants.
Chief Gehaku actually died a long time ago.
Although Gehaku is dead, his strong will and determination
has prevented him from ceasing to exist.
It's a scary thought, but in order to prevent the giants from
launching an attack on Keplan, we'll have to defeat Gehaku by force.
