When Maehwa Flowers Blossom V - Lovers Reunited

Afterward, whenever the temptation to deviate from his principles arose, he would gather his thoughts while gazing at the maehwa flowers under the moonlight. Eventually, he devoted himself to cultivating a fertile land of learning, where future scholars would gather.

Those of the Morning Light, including their hamlet, bestowed honor and praise upon Ija, who served as a beacon of knowledge in this land. However, it is said that Ija, throughout his entire life, attributed all his achievements and merits to the maehwa flowers.

"Profound as one's intentions may be, they cannot surpass the essence of the maehwa flower's resilience," he would say.

In the present day, among the scholars who are unaware of Ija's story, there is a rumor that on nights when the full moon rises, a ghost appears beneath the maehwa tree.

On nights when the full moon rises, a solemn seonbi and a beautiful woman are seen beneath the maehwa tree, engaged in deep conversation.

Some wonder if it is a dream or a manifestation of poetry,
but when they blink and look again, only fireflies are seen dancing around the tree.
