Do you know why we Shroud Knights are locked in conflict with the Sausans?
It was the native tribes, the Sausans, that caused the most concern
when Altinova's Merchant Guild tried to gain control over Mediah.
The Sausans first accepted the alliance of Altinova's Merchant Guild
and showed good faith by operating the Arena led by Shultz.
This peace was short-lived, however, and we soon learned it was merely facade.
They threatened and tried to take over Altinova.
When their plan failed, they captured the Northern Fortress
and cling to that foothold.
We are constantly reducing their numbers, but...
A recent scouting party came back from their patrol grievously injured.
Not one of them returned unscathed, I'm afraid...
We cannot predict what the Sausans will do,
and this precarious situation has everyone on edge.
