Hahaha! You came all this way in the pursuit of a man you've never met.
Such tenacity! I should have brought you here myself...
Ah! But never mind me, I'm just thinking aloud.
However, your instincts were spot on. Evergart is here.
Although he suffered a terrible defeat at the Battle of Dandelion,
he was chosen by the Crow to partake in the Pit of the Undying.
You know we place much value in transactions that benefit both parties,
and Evergart proposed a deal that benefited us as much as it did him.
It regards a subject he dare not speak of beyond the mists of this island:
the resurrection of the Goyen Mercenaries who fell at Dandelion.
He had nothing to offer us but his sword arm.
So the Pit of the Undying seemed the most natural solution...

However, I can tell you that prestige and honor are among them.
I'm telling you this as I truly believe you have what it takes
to challenge the Pit of the Undying yourself.
In doing so you will also learn of Evergart's fate.
And, since you have my backing as the First Crow,
there will be no consequences should you fail.
Even still, I do hope you'll reach the end of the Pit of the Undying.
