Chapter 2: The Dokkebi's Grace
Gowun Plateau's people welcomed the Soopmol Village refugees. To their surprise, the Dokkebi were following a man at the end of the line!
He was Seulyoon NPC Knowledge, the son of Soopmol's chief, who was killed in Moodle Village. His expression was somber, having just lost his father and home. But the mark on his body was glowing blue, just like the Kkebis!
This mark was a sign of gratitude rewarded for saving a Dokkebi friend from falling off a cliff when he was young. It meant that in crisis, the Dokkebi would rescue Seulyoon at least once.
The Dokkebi that followed him were those who had escaped King Duoksini NPC Knowledge's wrath. Concerned for the now homeless Mr. Kims, they followed behind. They were delighted to see the people of Gowun Plateau warmly welcoming the Soopmol villagers.
Swinging their tiny bats with a bidi-bop, Dokkebi statues warding off evil spirits appeared around Gowun Plateau! Gratitude filled Soopmol villagers, and wonder struck Gowun Plateau's people.
Indeed, until then, Gowun Plateau had been truly peaceful. However, between the servants of the Honorable Choi House in Dalbeol Village, a terrifying rumor about Gowun Plateau began to circulate.
