Objective
Chapter 3: The Geuseunsae NPC Knowledge
"Have you seen my child?! Have you seen my child!?"
Rumors say a woman wearing a straw hat shedding tears of blood screams and chases people through the once tranquil Gowun Plateau.
After hearing this story, the Traveler and Dolswe NPC Knowledge decided to ask a skilled physiognomist in Gowun Plateau about it. But he was busy chugging down booze and made them do his chores before sending them off to Drybranch Village! Upon arriving at Drybranch Village, they met the Soopmol villagers. Chief Seulyoon NPC Knowledge said the villagers had settled in Gowun Plateau, when the Honorable Choi servants came to claim the land, and drove out not just the Soopmol villagers, but everyone living in Gowun Plateau.
Left with no choice, they established Drybranch Village and tried to forget Gowun Plateau. But one day, rumors began to circulate that the Dokkebi in Gowun Plateau were killing people. The Soopmol villagers denied it, and they all headed to Gowun Plateau together. On a rainy, gloomy day, the Soopmol villagers arrived at an empty Gowun Plateau. Then, as if possessed, they tried to hang themselves from the trees.
At that moment, Seulyoon's mark of gratitude shone brightly, and an old lady appeared. With a swing of her cane, the villagers snapped out of their trance.
"Those shadowy straw hat-wearing folk? They're begrudged souls... now become birds!"
