It seems like you understand the truth behind this event.
We were a band of adventurers from Margoria.
I, Delcas, was the captain.
We explored the world, because we were interested in what the world had to offer.
That's when we saw a peculiar sea monster.
It had snake-like head and octopus Knowledge Item-like tentacles.
It was an Aluara, a sea creature native to Margoria and easily found near the ocean surface.
It was a surprisingly adorable little thing.
We decided to adopt the strange looking creature and named it Vellalops.
I remember it being a very picky eater.
It refused to eat fish, and would eat certain rocks instead.
I was in the middle of experimenting with a type of dangerous ore filled with unknown energy.
When I found out Vellalops would eat this ore as well, I became intrigued.
We set sail to learn more about the Aluaras and ended up here.
We found records of a monster that resembled Vellalops
when we were exploring the ancient civilization under the sea.
And that's when we realized that an Aluara could've been responsible for the downfall of the ancient civilization.
Was Vellalops the same monster of the past, or was it a descendant of the original monster?
We were conflicted about what to do about Vellalops.
If it was the former, it meant that we had a very dangerous monster in our hands.
Before we could decide on what to do with Vellalops, we were attacked.
Those that attacked us wielded similar powers to you.
They nearly exterminated every one of us, and we became separated.
Can you help me, adventurer? I wonder if there is any proof of what really happened to us.
